Bosses
Make sure you have 10 missles first. Run past the flying bugs in the room right before the Torizo. Blow the door open, then go back and reload on missles via those fliers. Go back and go into the Torizo's room. Get the bombs, then run all the way to the left and wait. When he's active, start shooting him with missles, BUT ONLY 1 A SECOND! You'll waste missles if you shoot too fast. Don't worry about your health, but make every shot count. 7 or 8 shots and it's dead. Okay, this guy is a cinch. Duck so he can't hit you, and then just use L and R to shoot all those falling spores. Time the jumps to get the powerups and not to get hit. When he opens up, jump and try and hit the core with 3 shots. It's okay if you only get 2 in. Get back to the ground and shoot the spores again, and keep repeating this until he's dead. NOTE: Once in a while, he may open up and actually hit you. Don't worry if this happens, just keep on fighting. I find Kraid being insanely easy. At the beggining, shoot him in the mouth, and when it opens, jump and nail a quick 2 supers his mouth. If you're lucky, he'll just sit and let you nail him with all 4 shots! He'll die without even getting out of the ground! Of course, it IS rare, so just jam the 2 supers in his mouth. Let him get bigger, then jump up to the top. Shoot his mouth and hit him in it when it opens up with a super. ONLY HIT HIM WITH 3 SUPERS. On the fourth shot, just use a normal missle and save the super. If you run out of supers or health, go to the top left platform and shoot the claws while dodging the giant spikes until you get the ammo back. The wall jump is a very simple thing to do. and once you get the hang of it you can use it in lots of situations, like a last-second escape from one of those plants that chew you up. Actually, many times I have wall jumped OFF of the WALLS of the plants! Sounds impossible, but I did it. Anyways, to perform this trick, jump into a wall. Make sure Samus is spinning in circles, and when you hit the wall, go away from the wall and hit jump. You can do this unlimited times, as long as you're spinning. Basiccly it is the same as the space jump, just doing it on a wall. However, there are 2 different important differences. You can do the wall jump ANY time while spining, while going up, while falling down, after falling down for 1/2 an hour, while you can only space jump a bit after the peak of your jump. Also, Space Jumping off of walls will temporarily disable the Screw Attack. Note when Samus is moving away from the wall and it shows a picture of Samus holding onto the wall kinda. This is when you can do the wall jump, but it is also when the Screw Attack is disabled. While facing Mother Brain, her super attack will leave you unable to do ANYTHING. Bummer. Do this to get back up: Right after her wave attack, take off BOTH suits. When you see the grey spit from MB's mouth, put both your suits back on and use your reserve tanks. Then pound on the buttons. After that, either wall jump until MB is drained, or just sit in a ball and wait. After MB is drained, lay a bomb and you'll pop up out of the ground, back to normal. Visit TJ's glitch page for some interesting things you can do after that. Also... one thing I've done... Whomp on MB, but don't let the Metroid latch on to you. Just keep on shooting, and after a while MB will be bright red. Keep shooting for a bit after that, and when you sure she would have died, stop shooting and let the Metroid latch onto you. Okay, you're better and the Metroid dies. Now watch carefully what happens to you. An interesting glitched pic, huh? Anyways, MB will suddenly die on you before you even get to fire the Hyper beam. Darn! You never got a chance to test it out! :P |
